the title
comes at
the end

Four artists, who have worked together for years at the neueKUNSTschule, undertook a joint project. Julitta Krebs, Avner Hameiri, Barbara Maurer, and I organized a group exhibition. We all chose to use egg tempera on wood, the same size, which was determined according to the allowed measurements of a hand-luggage on a cheap airline, and most importantly, we agreed never to start with an idea, neither a plan nor what the picture is about, and to only have the ‹title› come at the end.

It was not a children's game; we let language and the different possibilities of color, shape, density, brush, to act generatively.

After the successful exhibition, this framework developed into more than 100 paintings of my work in this format and material.
