Blue (out of the coming Book)
[The supporting security of blue, as I described it in the previous chapter, should not deceive us: In the cycle of pure colors, blue is always the most distant, that is, the coldest color. Although it tends to create interior spaces, blue is not warming in itself; I have to bring the fire into the room myself or I will freeze to death. In the tradition of European painting, the Mother of God appears wrapped in blue, on the outside, and wearing red on the inside (up to a glowing yellow-red in a work by Dürer). Cosmically Enrobed and at the same time compassionate, glowing with love and pain, she bears the secret of coming close to the absolute distanced, the birth of God as man].
